100% cuero vacuno genuino. Forro interior de Cordura. Porta termo integrado. —————- Convertible Leather Mate Tote / Backpack – Handmade by El Indio This versatile bag was designed and handcrafted by El Indio Matero in New Jersey, inspired by my Argentine roots, the tradition of mate, and my own experiences with the kind of bag that needs to be more than just good-looking. It needs to be practical, durable, comfortable to carry, and built to be used for years. The bag is made from 100% genuine cowhide leather, carefully selected from reputable suppliers. I intentionally allow the natural character of the leather to remain visible. Variations in color, grain, wrinkles, scars, and other natural markings are not considered defects. They are part of what makes each handmade bag unique. One of the most practical features is its convertible design. It can be carried as a traditional tote or converted into a backpack, giving you more flexibility depending on where the day takes you. The leather straps are built for strength while maintaining the clean, rustic style of the bag. The interior is fully lined with durable Cordura, chosen for its excellent resistance to wear and everyday use. Built directly into the lining is a dedicated thermos holder, designed to keep your thermos upright, secure, and organized inside the bag rather than rolling around like it has somewhere more important to be. The main compartment closes securely with a full zippered top, helping protect everything inside whether the bag is being carried by hand, over the shoulder, or as a backpack. The large exterior pockets provide convenient storage for frequently used items while keeping them separate from the main compartment. Approximate dimensions: - 16 inches high - 14 inches wide - 5 inches deep Its generous size makes it ideal for carrying a thermos, mate, yerba and accessories while still leaving plenty of room for personal items, a tablet, documents, travel essentials, or everyday gear. Every bag is individually cut, prepared, assembled, and sewn by hand in my workshop. This is not mass-produced merchandise. The construction, materials, reinforced stitching, Cordura lining, and genuine leather are all chosen with durability in mind. The design is strongly influenced by my Argentine roots and my personal connection to mate culture. My goal was to combine the practicality of a modern everyday bag with the rugged, uncomplicated character I associate with Argentina, the countryside, traveling, family gatherings, and sharing a mate. Because genuine leather naturally changes with use, this is also a bag that will develop its own character over time. The leather will soften, darken in certain areas, and develop a patina unique to the person using it. Handmade in New Jersey by El Indio Matero 100% Genuine Cowhide Leather Durable Cordura Lining Built-in Thermos Holder Convertible Tote-to-Backpack Design Secure Zippered Top Closure Made with materials sourced from reputable suppliers A functional, rugged and distinctly Argentine-inspired bag made to be used, enjoyed, and carried for years.
